New York benefits! Traveling with monthly railway tickets only costs $1 every Saturday [DTA Suda Driving School]

Taking the Long Island Rail Road and Northern Railway, monthly pass passengers can travel with friends for $1. New York Governor Huo Chu announced on July 2 that the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and Metropolitan Northern Railway (Metro-North) will launch the "Summer Saturday" (Summer Saturday) promotion again this summer. Monthly pass holders can take any commuter railway on Saturdays and bring up to two companions with them for only US$1 per person one way. The "Summer Saturday" promotion period is from July 5 (Saturday) to August 30 (Saturday), 2025. The discount is available to monthly pass holders of the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad. Monthly pass holders can take any commuter railway at any time every Saturday during the promotion period, and can bring up to two traveling companions with them. The one-way fare per person is only US$1. Discounted tickets can be purchased through the TrainTime App (select the "Family Fares" category) or on the bus, with no handling fee. This offer does not apply to cross-line rides, i.e. a Long Island Rail Road pass cannot be used on Metro-North Railroad and vice versa. Please note that the following Long Island Rail Road trains are not eligible for this event: (1) The trains from Jamaica to Montauk at 7:13 am, 8:14 am, and 10:29 am; (2) The trains from Penn Station to Ronkonkoma at 7:47 am; (3) The feeder trains from Ronkonkoma to Greenport at 9:14 am.
