Oneida Correctional Facility

The former Oneida Correctional Facility is an extensive property consisting of 47 buildings on approximately 85 acres of land located within the City of Rome in Central New York. The facility, formerly the Rome Developmental Center, opened in 1988 as a medium-security correctional facility, encompassing many historic brick buildings for housing and other purposes. The earliest buildings on the property date to 1886.
