Discovering Family-Friendly Activities in Los Angeles
Los Angeles is a fantastic city for family outings, with its sunny weather and a plethora of activities that cater to everyone. My family and I often explore this vibrant city on weekends, and I’m excited to share some of our favorite family-friendly spots with you.
1. Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios is a must-visit! Located about 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, tickets range from $110 to $150. Here, you can enjoy thrilling roller coasters as well as numerous interactive experiences perfect for kids.
2. Los Angeles Zoo
If your little ones love animals, the Los Angeles Zoo is an ideal destination. Situated in Griffith Park, ticket prices are approximately $21 to $25. The zoo features a variety of animals and exciting exhibits that will delight children.
3. Hollywood Walk of Fame
Take your kids for a stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and search for your favorite star's name. This place is perfect for photo ops, and it’s a free activity that every family can enjoy. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants nearby for a family lunch.
4. Los Angeles County Museum of Art
If you and your kids are interested in art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is absolutely worth a visit. While tickets are $15, they offer free admission on Tuesdays, making it an excellent opportunity! The museum has several kid-friendly exhibits that can spark their creativity.
5. Santa Monica Pier
If you’re willing to drive a bit further, Pier 39 in San Francisco is great, but in Los Angeles, Santa Monica Pier offers a similar experience. Featuring amusement parks, arcades, and delicious seafood, it’s perfect for a family day out.
