Family Fun in Indiana
As a Chinese family living in Indiana, I’m always on the lookout for great family-friendly spots. This state has plenty of fun activities for kids and parents alike, so here are some of my top recommendations based on personal experiences.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
If you have little ones, the Children’s Museum is an absolute must-visit. Located in downtown Indianapolis, tickets are about $20. The museum offers a variety of exhibits that focus on science, art, and history. What I love most is the interactive activities where kids can engage and explore hands-on. It's a place where they'll learn while having tons of fun!
Brown County State Park
Take the kids to Brown County State Park for some outdoor adventure. Family time outdoors is a great way to unwind. The park has beautiful trails for hiking and biking, with an entrance fee around $7. In autumn, the park is stunning with colorful leaves, perfect for family photo ops.
Indianapolis Zoo
Zoos are always a hit with kids, and the Indianapolis Zoo does not disappoint. With tickets priced at around $25, you can see a variety of animals like elephants, lions, and dolphins. On weekends, they host special events like animal feeding shows, which are super exciting for the kids.
