Description
The 108 beads represent the four seasons, and the 108 beads represent the 12 months of the year, the 24 solar terms, and the 72 seasons. The four Buddha heads symbolize the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The Buddha heads hanging behind the back and the clouds on the back symbolize "one yuan and the beginning". Three turquoise strings represent the upper, middle, and lower ten-day periods of the month, and the total is 30 days. Since the emperors of the Qing Dynasty believed in Buddhism, only emperors, concubines, fifth-rank civil servants and fourth-rank military officers or above could wear court beads.
