China Visa Guide for Chinese in Alabama

No matter which type of visa you choose, here are some basic application materials you’ll generally need:

**Passport**: Must be valid for at least six months.

**Application Form**: You can find this on the website of the Chinese embassy or consulate.

**Photos**: You’ll need to submit recent passport-style photos that meet the specifications.

**Invitation Letter**: If you’re applying for a Q visa, you’ll typically need an invitation letter from a family member or friend in China.

In Alabama, while preparing these materials, you can head to local post offices or copy shops, like the one in Birmingham. Copying costs around $0.10 to $0.15 per page.

Submitting Your Application
